Winter is on the way.  Today was cloudy and blustery; the wind was strong enough to leave my bare fingers almost numb.  The sun almost broke through the clouds, enough for me to cast my shadow against a tree, before retreating again behind a wall of dark gray.  At my feet, though, I passed an endless variety of tranquil still-lifes, my favorite of which was this simple image with shades of red, yellow, and green.

  1. Really great colors, Clifford. I wonder if you got some snow by now. It snowed for the first time this evening here in Ithaca. That should put a whole new look on your photos’ colors. Cheers!

  2. Snow in Georgia? That is a rarity. Last winter we got a couple of inches, and it caused traffic to grind to a halt and schools were closed for days afterward. No, the current cold spell will still bring daily highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s, though the nights are dipping below freezing. Wow — Snow in Ithaca already! Thank you for your kind words about my photo, and for all your other comments here — I owe you quite a few responses to all of them.
