After another overnight rainfall, Piney Woods Church Road vegetation was again festooned with water droplets.  I peered into minute worlds and encountered magnificent jewels as I made my way from one end of the road to the other.  There are so many discoveries that still await….

  1. Only two days left? Time travels faster as I get older I guess, been a good journey to see though. Any chances of the before/after one year type landscape shots? Good Show!

    • Grant,

      Thanks for your comments.

Interesting that you should ask about before/after shots. A few people have recommended, at various times, that I photograph the same scene at two very different times, such as two different seasons. For some reason, I have never felt motivated to do that. I have surprised myself by being less interested in the local landscape as a whole, and more interested in the particular bits of wonder that emerge every day I walk there. Despite the seasons, there is a timeless quality to my pilgrimage — a feeling of new prospects every day.

Still three days left. I will post also on the first of the new year, then take a couple of weeks to regroup before some new posting, leading up to the next big project in March.

      Thanks for hanging in there!

  2. Really amazing jewels. No photoshop or anything? I am so impressed. Inspired to try some of this myself.

    • Robin,

I have been shooting JPG files and making minor modifications in contrast and brightness (and cropping, of course) using Picasa, but that is all. I have plans to learn Lightroom in the next few months, because I hope to transition to raw images. No Photoshop in my near future, though.

      Thank you very much!

      Clifford
